for abortionists

Following the overturn of Roe, Kentucky’s trigger bill went into effect. The law makes abortion illegal for abortionists, with a penalty of a class D felony. The bill establishes that, “Nothing in this section may be construed to subject the pregnant mother upon whom any abortion is performed or attempted to any criminal conviction and penalty,” effectively providing mothers the right to self-managed abortion in Kentucky.
