Status of Abortion:
Legal
Legal
Wyoming’s trigger ban is currently enjoined while it goes through the State courts. The ban contains exceptions for rape, incest, life, and health of the mother. If the trigger ban is upheld in the State courts, it exempts the mother of the aborted child from all prosecution, making self- managed abortion legal in the State. While the ban is enjoined, abortion is legal for abortionists and mothers up to viability.
